Goldee's Bar-B-Q Earns Fort Worth's First Michelin Star
The barbecue joint was one of three new starred restaurants in the 2026 Texas guide, a milestone for Texas smoked meat.
Goldee's Bar-B-Q in Fort Worth picked up a Michelin star on Oct. 8, the first in the city's history and one of the most notable barbecue honors in the guide's Texas run.
CultureMap Fort Worth called the win Fort Worth's "moment in the sun." Michelin awards a star to establishments serving "exceptional cuisine that's rich in flavor, remarkably executed," and cites consistency over time as part of the criteria.

Barbecue appeared elsewhere in the 2026 selection too. Khói Barbecue in Houston earned a Bib Gourmand, while Levant BBQ in Houston and Din Ho Chinese BBQ in Austin joined the Recommended list. Goldee's was one of three new stars statewide, alongside Austin's Fabrik and Kappo Kappo.
Dallas, next door, got one new Bib Gourmand and four new Recommended listings but no new stars, leaving Fort Worth with the spotlight.
